Pourtant, encore aujourd\u2019hui, on constate un cycling gender gap, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire un \u00e9cart important d\u2019utilisation du v\u00e9lo entre les genres, au d\u00e9triment des femmes. En Belgique, selon la derni\u00e8re \u00e9tude de Pro V\u00e9lo, les femmes repr\u00e9sentent 36,1% des cyclistes seulement. Cette analyse s\u2019int\u00e9resse aux facteurs qui poussent les femmes \u00e0 pr\u00e9f\u00e9rer un autre moyen de transport pour leurs d\u00e9placements dans l\u2019espace public et aux in\u00e9galit\u00e9s qui subsistent en mati\u00e8re de cyclisme au quotidien entre les femmes et les hommes. On note notamment un sentiment d\u2019ins\u00e9curit\u00e9 li\u00e9 \u00e0 la possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00eatre insult\u00e9e ou agress\u00e9e, \u00e0 des types de trajets et utilisations qui varient selon le genre, \u00e0 une prise de risque au sein du trafic diff\u00e9rente entre hommes et femmes, ou encore \u00e0 des contraintes vestimentaires pour ces derni\u00e8res.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L\u2019analyse se penche \u00e9galement sur les opportunit\u00e9s pour les femmes de faire du v\u00e9lo, ainsi que sur les atouts et avantages mentionn\u00e9s par celles qui l\u2019utilisent. Le v\u00e9lo reste un bel outil d\u2019ind\u00e9pendance et d\u2019empowerment pour les femmes. On d\u00e9couvre ainsi les dessous du cyclof\u00e9minisme, qui allie les enjeux f\u00e9ministes et enjeux v\u00e9cus par les femmes cyclistes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Enfin, l\u2019analyse met en avant des r\u00e9ponses \u00e0 cette sous-utilisation du v\u00e9lo par les femmes.
